What is Vipassana?
Buddha; a great teacher of Vipassana.
Vipassana is an advanced form of personal development; a meditation technique that is observation, balance, and awareness. One observes specific sensations on their body in a unique pattern.
It truly takes the dedication of a 10-day Vipassana retreat to learn Vipassana properly. Once you learn to integrate the sequential pattern of observing your body for sensations, you naturally begin observing more of life rather than reacting to life.
The goal or by-product of this process of sensation-observation is that it cleanses your karma and any unnatural vibration within your life-energy or mind. There are many ways to explain 'how' this works, yet when you experience your first 10-day retreat, you will know for yourself first-hand the feeling of your lighter mind with less anger, judgment, reactions, and negativity... And that is the beauty and effectiveness of the Vipassana system.
Vipassana for Healing
Vipassana can be strictly used as a form of personal healing. We are each healing all of the time. More healing occurs when we are aware of it and become aware of 'how' it works. Vipassana teaches us step-by-step by us growing in our awareness, slowly burning off impurities, and knowing for ourselves our own improvements by how we improve in our feelings, thought-qualities, emotional states, and reactions.
Vipassana is a wonderful tool for Emotional Clearing and Transformation. It assists us in 'burning off' an emotional charge which has arisen. It teaches us how to observe this charge objectively without attaching to it, then feeling it, and finally watching it dissolve on its own. It is amazing.
Vipassana as a Spiritual Path
Vipassana is also a deeply spiritual path. The blessing of Vipassana is that it supports your Path; whatever it may be, whichever religion or belief you respect. Vipassana is a tool that helps makes your life deeper.
You grow in awareness, and that means your consciousness is returning to you! You release pent up pressure and stress from your energy-body, and you learn how to live more relaxed. You begin connecting to your world in a more intimate and loving way. And there are teachings that accompany your meditation to help you understand your mind, your life, and your universe, no matter what level of life you are at.
Yes, there is a road map for healthy, happy, moral, spiritual living that has existed for 1000's of years, and it is your choice if you desire to utilize Vipassana as a spiritual Path or as a form of constant healing.
Vipassana New World focuses on training Vipassana as a spiritual path and as a form of healing. It is practical, effective, insightful, and feels great.

The Feeling Space
Vipassana is about moving our awareness around our bodies to feel the sensations taking place on and inside our bodies. This helps to uncover latent sensations (karmas) lying dormant, so they come up to the surface and release and repattern themselves back to our natural states.
Vipassana appears very mental on the surface, yet it actually help us to consistently enter our feeling space if learned and practiced properly.
Nature, the outdoors, is always in its feeling space. Our thinking minds are what create our challenges, and it is what also solves them and creates new solutions to our lives. Vipassana helps us retrain our minds, so we spend more time in our feeling space, so we are more natural and peaceful; accepting anything that comes our way. This in turn strengthens our morality and peace in thinking.
Relax, Smile, and Feel. Share blessings of gratitude with everything, and you will enter your feeling space (heartspace).
i feel i am in control of my life!
Though Vipassana is simply keeping a part of our awareness on ourselves at all times, it's so much more than that.
Vipassana is about you meeting yourself. Hello, me. Truly understanding your mind, feeling the relaxed or tense feelings in your body, the kinds of thoughts you have, the reactions you unconsciously make, and the desires you have. Then it's about mastering all this until you're left with a calm mind, peaceful conscious actions, compassionate thoughts, and a gentle flow to your everyday life.
You learn to observe more which naturally reduces your reactions. It's a simple, yet challenging meditation technique that is very effective in releasing attachments, such as judgment, anger, rashness, and trauma from within us. Slowly, our life-energy repatterns itself back to its loving and natural state.
If you are under the impression that meditation is an old, time-consuming exercise with little value in today's modern age, think again. Vipassana is different; it is universal. It is like gravity; working the same throughout all the ages for one and all who respect its power.
we are changing, changing, changing...
Vipassana is simply awareness of the sensations on and inside the body; aka: “sensations-based-body-awareness.”
Though it sounds easy, it can be quite challenging. Fortunately, it is packed with results that you benefit from here and now. Practiced consistently over time, it becomes one of the most powerful and effective techniques to help a person observe more, react less, and be kinder and gentler to themselves. Vipassana helps you enjoy life by living without attachment, in this present moment, with peace that starts from your insides-out.
What is "being natural" and how it relates to Vipassana?
Being natural is what you would be like if you were a pure “soul” (a purified mind) entering your body for the 1st time plus having the wisdom you have gained since your birth. You would act very peacefully, compassionately, and openly. And the longer Vipassana is practiced, the longer this reprogramming sticks in your life-energy. It's yum, yum delicious. Read a few of the testimonials!
In a world of "rush, rush, hurry, quick, cheap, fast, and I want it yesterday," Vipassana asks something very simple of us. Put away the coffee, put away the sugar, put away the thoughts and opinions, and put away the need to do anything. Just sit there. And do Vipassana. Until you feel a wave of bliss overcome your being. It is love. Welcome, you are home.
Compatibility & Lineage?
What is important is if a technique works for you.
We teach a form of Vipassana that was learned by our head instructor during a year-long meditation internship in India. An additional relaxation step, taught by an American Monk and used in many oriental systems, is added in our Vipassana to further balance one's life-energy during their retreat. The results produce a very relaxed, open person with a self-responsible, self-aware, compassionate, and self-loving sense of character.
In the USA, two main forms are taught. Conversations with dedicated students from both lineages appear to produce similar results.
Vipassana New World is compatible with other ‘sensations-based/ anicca’ teachings of Vipassana. Anicca means 'changing' or 'impermanent', as in, "life's constant movement from one structure or form into another." This type of Vipassana is the form taught at over 140+ Vipassana centers around the world.
