"From what I've uncovered over the last few years, I can share this (below) with a higher degree of confidence. (nothing in life is 100%, there is no black & white, simply shades of gray.)
The darkness wants to come out of us. It's programmed to do so. Universe gives us 'good days' and 'bad days' because the 'bad days' are the ones where the day's energy stirs up stuff from within us and helps it to come to the surface to leave/ heal. It's then up to us to understand the process, and allow it to leave by being as objective and balanced as possible by it (the emotions).
If a person trains a deep deep form of personal development, ie: they do 10 straight days of deep meditation, then this can stir up a massive chunk of old stuff. And this would kick someone over into a challenging few months of navigating the release of lots of darkness. For those who are not ready for this, it's too much too soon.
Yet if we're doing a session together for an hour or two, what we will 'kick up' will be of a degree that we'll be able to navigate and release within the session or within a day or two with simple activities like positive thinking and physical movement.
The emotional healing technique we've practiced where you feel your pulse and your heart is designed to allow for packets of tense energy to release within the session and not linger much following the session.
Even a full vipassana meditation of 1 hour will in most cases bring you into a deeper relationship with yourself as well as kick up just a little stuff, which then helps you breathe deeper for the next couple days. It's a good thing in general, as each student I've guided in meditation has shared a high degree of gratitude and peace afterwards. It's used by the military for the healing of PTSD. I personally feel each one of us in our country has quite a degree of PTSD by the way we train ourselves with Crisis/ Solution each day.
So I share this so you know with confidence that our sessions are designed for you to begin to experience the boundaries of your comfort levels, and then to lightly push beyond them, so you constantly are growing in capacity as a human. The capacity to love more, the capacity to receive more.
If we clearly have fear about something and we suppress it, then that's a whole different thing altogether. Suppressing a pain or darkness that desires to release is not a wise choice, because life is bringing it up to the surface for us, and we're being given the blessing to heal it. Something bubbles up, and we push it back down. If we push it down now, it comes up later with more intensity.
Learning how to relax into the fear, to let go, to allow, and to observe what happens- with love and faith in our hearts that we 'will be ok'- is incredibly powerful and liberating. Vipassana teaches this.
Fear smells our fear. then fear attracts more fear to it. Yet if we choose to be our Light without suppressing, then we have the courage to shine our Light onto the fear and into the fear knowing we will be Ok, and in fact, we will be thriving afterwards. Then the fear (or whichever emotion) leaves.
You will always be ok, or thriving. It's our choice. Do I prefer a good day or a great day? (even a bad day is a good day when we know the privilege it is to be in a body).
You are strong and you are a happy person. That's what I know. That's a good foundation to build upon our ability to 'let go' and 'let God'.
Many times in our home we've talked to our kids and told them to their face what my wife and I are doing and what we're going through. We'll tell them we were up all night in spiritual ceremony, or that we're resolving an issue with anger and to be patient with us. I find it very valuable to share openly how our lives truly are with our kids, so they grow up with tools to heal their own lives.
Yesterday, our 8-yr old daughter told me on the drive home from school that her upper legs were very tight, and she began massaging them to relax them. Had we never shared tools for transformation with them, they wouldn't know for themselves that tight legs and how to relax them was even something to be aware of :)
I wish you an awesome day, and we'll talk Monday!!
and Thank You for the great gift you are for us all. With you, I am and we are complete.
